I work with a guy who used to work at Taco Bell. He told me that the beef is the lowest grade crap meat but the chicken was actually decent and of a higher grade.
Can anyone confirm this or tell me their experience?
In order for fast food restaurants to offer the low prices and turn a profit, they've got to use lowest grade crap. It's hard enough to survive in these hard times, store owners have to watch everything they purchase doesn't get wasted.
I haven't worked at Taco Bell so I can't confirm what your co-worker told you.
But I'll be checking the rest of the replies you get!
hahaha ok i worked at taco bell for awhile when i was working i found a flap of skin in one of the bags of * beef* if i let it dry it would have been leather, it is one of the lowest grade meat there is. the chicken is kinda alright, not the lil chicken tho they call it bc for bad chicken and gc for goodchicken. beans are made out of half powder half halfs of beans lol not even real
If your friend said they don't use high grade meat, I guess they don't use high grade meat. I don't think he'd get any satisfaction out of lying about that.
Yes.. I am a store manager and have been in Fast food 11 years.. and ALL fast food is low grade meat.. and taco bell meat.. i DONT eat it I heard its one step above dog food.. and the chicken is good.. thats the only thing I eat there... so yes... you heard right.. and thats comin from an employee.. lol
One of my exes used to work at a Taco Bell, she told me the beef was the lowest possible grade for human consumption, Grade D or something like that, one step above cattle feed, pretty much. She didn't say anything about the chicken, though.
I've heard the same thing from another former employee, which is why i stopped eating there. I was told the meat is comprised of beef kidney and intestinal track with a mixture of ground round.
