What's the difference between the two anyway what improvements have been made anyway I mean execept the fact that amd 64 gives out 64 bit instructions and is dual core and the athlon xp gives 32 bit instructions and is single core what else is the difference I mean I bought three brand new laptops from they are all windows vista premium my first laptop is a Athlon xp 2800+ with 1 GB ram the second one is the amd 64 X2 3.0GHz 6000+and the third one is a intel E500 Quad 3.0GHz 1 GB ram. I turned on all of them first intel turned on then the amd 64 x2 turned on nearly the same time as the athlon xp the intel turned on in about 11.6 seconds the amd 64 x2 turned on in 13 seconds and the athlon xp turned on in 13.7 seconds and then once they all turned on I waited for a few minutes I clicked on photo shop and honestly this is not a lie intel opened it up first followed by the athlon xp and then the amd 64 x2 and i clicked on them all at the same time because I had my friend to click on the intel while I click on the amd's so my question is that what's the major difference between amd 64 x2 and athlon xp execpt that it is miles faster than the athlon xp at opening up mutiple programs infact my athlon xp freezes when I open up muti programs and my amd 64 x2 doesn't at all, and obviously the intel doesn't.
