Is the beef safe to cook?

I took 1 kg (about 2.2 pounds) of mince beef (or ground beef) out of the freezer not last night but the night before.

It was defrosted in the fridge, is it still safe to cook?
 
I'm going to have to agree with the others, it should be fine. there's a great site called stilltasty.com they're my go to when I'm not sure, and I've learned a lot of suprising things from them.
 
Yes, you have defrosted the meat in a safe manner. The refrigerator should have kept the meat around 40 degrees F while it defrosted, therefore harmful bacteria can not have ruined the meat. Make sure you cook the meat well whatever your using it for and it will be fine!
