a friend want to to convert to her denomination. She says I have to because her church is only true church and only way to heaven

There are two groups who use the title the "Church of Christ". One group was started out of Boston in the eighties and led by a leader whose last name is Pritchard. They often refer to the area of their local congregation in their name (ie... the Boston Chrurch of Christ). This group is widely thought of as a cult, has been involved in some incidents where members committed suicide and is big on recruiting in college campuses. They attempt to recruit other denominations and claim no one but people who believe like them can be saved. They believe you have to be baptized, among other things. I've been baptized but they told me years ago (I'm a baptist) that I wasn't saved because I didn't believe it's baptism that saved me and I didn't follow the proper order for salvation (whatever they think that was.) The more common church of Christ also believes baptism is vital in salvatioin but aren't near the cult as the former and have more national recognition as a mainstream religion. I'd say your encounter sounds like the first more than the second and I would recommend steering clear of them.

REALLY??!?!?!??!?

Hmmmm Let's think... Alter Boys... Enough said!

Actually -- Jesus Christ is the only door to Heaven that exists,
and the TRUE church of Christ has yet to be revealed.

If you have NOT personally made a genuine commitment
to Jesus Christ, what church you select to attend is irrelevant.

If you HAVE personally made a genuine commitment to Jesus Christ,
the church you select to attend COULD BE very relevant;
Especially if you are a new convert with little background of personal study of the Bible, or
if you don't really intend to study the Bible for yourself, and are simply looking
for a group to spoon-feed you Christian doctrine without wanting to check it out for yourself.

The International Church of Christ has long believed they have "the corner" on the Cornerstone.
Yet, they have been experiencing increasing "turbulence" in the waters in the past few decades.
You would have to ASK SPECIFICALLY, and investigate further to find out if the group your
friend belongs to are old school mainline Church of Christ, or
Boston Church of Christ, or Crossroads, or what.

Then, you would have to take what you learn of their specific doctrines and practices back to
the Word of God.
Then, YOU would have to decide if you can "live" with any "controversy" you might find
between their doctrines and practices and the Word of God.

Each of us is INDIVIDUALLY responsible to God for our decision of who we follow
FIRST in our lives. If you get that correct, you already have a guide to help you
with the rest. You just need to refer to Him and what HE has to say.

how can it be when Jesus was not its founder, he prayed outside or in the synagogue don.t forget

The Church of Christ is a good denomination. However, they are not the "only true church", be careful of this way of thinking. The Church of Christ is very similar to Baptists and Methodists. All having a little difference in their beliefs. The major difference is Baptists only submerge for baptism and Methodist accept other forms of baptism, while the Church of Christ teaches that you have to be baptized to be saved.
