Is the ending of Wolf's Rain anime really bad?

I've heard that the ending is supposed to be a huge 'let-down' and I'm kinda worried coz I'm watching it at the mo, so is it really as bad? Is it supposed to be disappointing - without giving anything away that is. lol

Well, it's not very impressive. It could've been brilliant but it wasn't.
