Is the Jewish religion different now then when Jesus was here....?

How was Jesus a Jew but Jewish people dont worsip Jesus if the religion is the same. I am confused.
 
Yes!
After Jesus departed, as Daniel prophesied the Temple was destroyed (70ad) and the Jews were exiled.
Now they cant practice their sacrifices to God
 
Jesus didn't worship himself, sweetie. He practiced Judaism the same as the rest of the Jews. Jesus did not practice Christianity as we know it today.
 
Excellent question! Yes, Jesus was a Jew, and actively practiced the religion, and followed all the written rules. He did deviate from the oral traditions. He also angered the high priest of the temple, but did not violate any of the rules. The separation of the two faiths only happened many years after he died, when his disciples refused to follow the Jewish laws in 49AD.
 
Some Jewish people accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour, i.e Mark, Matthew, John, James Peter Mary and Martha and many others. There religion has changed in that they now no longer offer an innocent lamb for the forgiveness of sins. The only thing is they still skip over chapter 53 of Isaiah.
 
Jewish people don't believe Jesus fulfilled any messianic prophecies. Ergo, Jesus is not the messiah. Traditional Jewish believe does not have the messiah being anything above a special human being. The messiah is not to be worshiped in Judaism.

Joseph Smith was a Christian. Should Christians worship him, too?
