Is the LG lotus worth Sprint service?

I want to get the LG lotus. I've researched it, and it sounds like the phone i want, and it looks so cool. but i dont want sprint service. ive heard too many complaints about sprints service, and the high phone bills. is the phone worth the service?
 
I don't have any experience with the LG lotus or Sprint, but I just moved to the KC area and when I was trying to decide between AT&T and Sprint, I heard from some of my coworkers that reception was sometimes spotty, even inside the Sprint Center. Then on the flipside I heard AT&T was always really reliable. So I went with AT&T...just my experience, hope this helps.
