is the motorola atrix an android phone?

i'm getting the motorola atrix 4g for at&t and I was wondering if its an android ?

yes it is however its not a manufacterer leading product i.e not one that the company will continue updating software wise for a long time.

i suggest the motorola droid 3 as this will get android 4.0 (atrix has 2.2)
