It is a not a computer or phone. It is a tablet similar to the ipod touch or ipad. It is 10 inches. You can download and install apps for free or you can purchase the apps. Basically it does all the functions of the ipad. At the moment the Zoom is expensive. The Zoom has Wi-Fi and 3G data internet. The Wi-Fi is built inside the Zoom and so you can go to any hotspot Wi-Fi location (such as Mcdonalds, Barnes and Nobles and Starbucks) and use their wireless Wi-Fi to go online with the Zoom without any fees. If you have Wi-Fi at home then the Zoom will connect wirelessly to get on the internet without any fees.

The 3G data internet on the Zoom will let you have internet where ever you are through Verizon Wireless. The data plan is 1GB for $20. 3GB for $35, 5GB for $50 or 10GB for $80 per month.

So here is the cost $800.00 for the Motorola Xoom without a 2 year contract. You can use just the Wi-Fi that is built inside the Xoom and you have to be in a Wi-Fi location hotspot to get internet.

If you sign up for a 2 year contract then the Motorola Xoom would cost $600.00. Then also you would be locked in for a 2 year data internet plan from above. This will give you internet anywhere you are through Verizon. Just remember that if you sign up for a data internet plan, you have to be careful that you dont go over your data internet usage. The data internet is not unlimited.
 
Big wireless phone, or a computer that also has a phone?
And what about the COST? If I am going internet on the Zoom, is the "bill clock" going to crank out the costs? Or can I go 'wireless' at home using my cable service and a wireless router? Or is this over-priced mobile phone company prices?
