Is the new Imac worth the money? what is the difference between an Imac and a regular desktop? is 320gb alot of space for photos, movies, and music?

Yes it is, the primary difference with it is that it now supports DDR3 Ram which is alot quicker. If you are competent with computers, I suggest you just buy the lowest amount of ram available and manually upgrade to the value you want because there seems to be an extremely unnecessary overpricing in this area. 4GB is more than enough for almost anything.

It also comes with a much more powerful Gcard, I suggest you go for the Nvidia 120 or 130

The model has a Intel Core 2 Duo which may become a redundant chip in about 3 years, however it has a Duo (2) cores, which means that there is not much of a difference (except for price) between the 2.66Ghz and the 2.93Ghz.

The 24" Makes an extreme difference to your productivity. Please trial the 24" versus the 20" in the store as some people find the larger model difficult. LCD, like the previous model is Extremely Sharp, the top notch of visual quality which I alway get from Apple Displays.

The keyboard is a flat piece of aluminium, I suggest you choose the extended keyboard as it has a numerical pad and the arrow keys aren't squished tightly together.
