Is the surname "Rogers" from Ireland or Scotland?

I have researched and discovered relatives from England with the name "Rogers," but the same English ancestors also trace their ancestry back to Ireland. I am looking for a link between the name "Rogers" and "McCrory." I believe the name McCrory was changed at Ellis Island to "Rogers." Any ideas would be much appreciated.

That's physically possible but highly improbable.

Ireland and England are not far apart, and they have had vessels capable of crossing back and forth for 3,000 years. Lots of Irish have some English, and vice versa.
