I am thinking of getting a quad bike to drive on road. It is a quad made for on road use and is road legal. Is driving a quad on road dangerous? What are the dangers?
Thanks
you can licence a four wheeler for on road use , at least where i live, but the tires that come stock with most fourwheeler's are made for off road use, if you are going to be using the fourwheeler alot on road you can put street tires on the stock rims, or buy an extra set of rims for your street tires. You should be expierienced as a rider before attemtping this as well, if this is your first quad , you need to get used to the way it handles on and off pavement before making day to day commutes with, a few states also require it to be equipped with turn signals for road use. the other dangers are particularly obvious, like the fact that you are on a 600 lb four wheeler and if some 4000 lb. truck hits you its all over
