She's a singer from Barcelona, Spain who is referred to as the Latin Queen of Soul, same as her website: http://www.latinqueenofsoul.com and she indeed has an incredible soulful sound. But is there an actual music genre entitled Latin Soul or Latin Rhythm and Blues? If so, can you mention any artists? Also, I know Aretha Franklin is the Queen of Soul. But how did this singer Meritxell Negre earn the title, the Latin Queen of Soul?
