Is there a pill or topical to reduce shedding?

I thought I had heard of something. I just got a long-haired Chi and she sheds alot. I am not used to this as my other dog doesn't shed at all hardly. I do brush her.

I go to a grooming shop which has a few self-service stalls... their hair dryers are so powerful that they remove all of my dog's dead and loose hair. It's a blessing!

Maybe you can check your area for a shop like this?
