no - possessing guns as an adult is condoned so kids just want to inmitate adults.

weapons to little kids? I wrote some complaint letters to huge warehouse chains and supermarkets, but I didn't get any response whatsoever. It's disgusting to see that those toy guns or other weapons or war toys are sold to little children, like it was completely okay and "just a normal toy". In my view, it isn't. Children shouldn't play war and shooting others. I can't understand why any parent would buy those, but they couldn't, if those "toys" weren't on sale. Do you think there is a point in complaining though?
Of course children shouldn't watch those movies either, vamp., I agree they can affect kids in a very disturbing way, as video or playstation games and things like that.

Toy weapons have been around since time began. Remember, they are toys and only become real in a child's imagination. Your imagination as a child is an amazing tool. What is needed though is for parents to educate their children on the difference between imagination and reality, and to instill a clear knowledge and understanding of what is socially right and wrong behaviour.
Good children come from good parents, children only learn from adults and their peers.
BTW if you want to ban toy weapons, would you also ban all movies showing violence? The latter being banned or controlled by parents would probably be more useful to a growing mind
