Is there a trend in youth fiction where heroes are born special instead having

to work to become it? Take Harry Potter or Percy Jackson for example. Granted, they had to do a lot after being born to remain special but both were born special and I was wondering if that was starting to be a trend in youth fiction that might tie in with the "everyone is special" movement.
