Is there a way to change the incomming text in the messenger app? (Iphone 4)?

So i just got my verizon iphone 4 and im wondering when you have the texting app open and you get a text; you get that weird noise when u have the app open (not a ringtone) but a swooshing sound that is very annoying... Is there a way to change it?
