Is there a way to style hair without getting the "wet" look?

I'm a guy and have maybe an inch length on top, and shorter on the sides. I've never used product because it makes my hair look wet and feels crispy.

It may sound gross, but I like the look of it when I wake up in the morning because its a little oily, but of course I shower and then it's back to normal.

Is there a way or product that will allow me to style my hair while still making it look natural?

moose, if that is how you spell the stuff you put in the hair, then to freeze the look a little hair spray wouldn't hurt

you could dry off your hair real good and wait about 10 minutes or so, then apply a pomade (wax) or I use garnier surf wax goop. The trick is to apply it about 10-15 minutes after you towl dry, then apply a small amount of the above. Gives a real natural look that holds well.

There's this product called "Surf Hair" by Fructis. My brother uses it, he gets a pea sized amount on his hand, rubs it and then runs his fingers through his hair..His hair's pretty long and this product gives him a messy look...He used to be able to do a fohawk with the same product when he had shorter hair. Try it out.

definitly try GOT2B ..they have this wax stuff. and u only use a lil dab and work it up in your hands..then place where you need to..and its easy to move around and doesnt dry up crispy or wet look. and best part is like hours later you can re-model it if you dont like that look you did. .. its a wx type glue thing..i love GO2B.. really good stuff. go to shoppers/walmart.. goodluck:)
