Is any PDA acceptable? When I'm with my boyfriend in public, am I to act like he's no more than a friend? Last summer in my house, my boyfriend and I were looking at a video on a laptop, and he put his arm around me on the couch. My brother walks in, immediately texts me "No one likes PDA". Today, he saw my boyfriend reach out to hold my hand at school, and again "Just a general fact: No one likes PDA"

What the hell is his problem? My boyfriend and I NEVER get alone time (we still live at home) and when we go out on dates, we're almost always in a public place. My brother and I are both in our twenties (he's younger than I am)

Should I Just ignore my brother's comments, or is holding hands in public something no one wants to see?

My boyfriend and I will give each other a quick peck hello and goodbye, but will make sure we're as alone as can be for the more intimate kisses. (i.e. I'll walk him to his car when he leaves or something). But what are the limits of PDA?
 
your brother is just being funny, don't take it too serious. My limitation to PDAs is that if it can be considered foreplay then it is too much this includes and is not limited to
Groping
kisses lasting more then 2 seconds
licking each other
you get the picture

holding hands, arm, hugs around shoulder moves are not at all inappropriate.
 
Ignore your brother he is jealous that he dosnt have a girlfriend/boyfriend (I dont know how you brother is but I dont judge) and PDA is cute xD :) Hope I helped!
 
he's your brother--he's gunna harass you like that =P as far as too much? don't be mackin it up but a sweet kiss here and there and hand holding and occasional hugs is cuteness ^_^
 
Theres nothing wrong with holding hands or hugging in public, even making out (as long as its not hardcore) lol butt display you guyes love to everyone! or else ull seem like the dry boring couple, ignore ur bros comments
 
I think theres a certain line and limits when it comes to pda but its not completely unnacceptable... holding hands, having his arm around you, a quick peck or kiss on the cheek - all fine and can be cute
just not people who start making out on the tube... arghhh.
so ignore your brother. your allowed to be with your boyfriend and act like it... :) enjoy being with him
 
I think both of the things you've done with your bf is absolutely fine. It just makes your brother uncomfortable to see you with your boyfriend, he's probably protective :)
 
Your brother is stupid. He's probably just jealous that he can't get any. Really? How is putting your arm around someone PDA? It isn't. Think about it. Tell your brother to Eff off and just be happy with your boyfriend :)
 
Hahaha it sounds like your brother is just being a brat. PDA is ok to the degree that you and your boyfriend are ok with it together. Hot sloppy making out is not cool, but kisses, hugging, hand holding, arms around each other when you walk are all ok.

My husband and I never stop touching. We are always holding hands when we walk, or hugging or stopping for a quick kiss. My kids are not embarrassed by it because we respect other people and we dont get all involved in it. The hot stuff is saved for the bedroom.

Im proud to show him i love him for all the world to see. People fight in public all the time, why wouldn't it be ok to show love in public?
