is there any problem with putting a 1.9liter dohc engine out of a 2002 saturn

sc2 into a 1999 sc2? i have a 99 with a blown motor and a 02 that frame was bent beyond repair am i going to have any trouble getting the 02 engine to work in the 99

There is a whole world of changes through those years. You would probably spend more doing this than to rebuild your other engine. If I were you I would put the other engine and trans. on ebay along with anything else you can part out of the wrecked car. Take your proceeds and have your engine rebuilt.

These engines are the same. There may be minor differences in some of the sensors, but they are interchangeable.
