Gold Glove? These guys have run off 9 in a row each basically leaving 1 gold glove up for grabs. Can some player out there dethrone them? Or. Should MLB just give it to them now and save some time?

Adam Jones was the third outfielder last year, so he would probably be the best bet to knock one of them off. Nick Markakis might be another candidate.

Franklin Gutiérrez, Ichiro's teammate from Seattle is better than either. The Gold Gloves are a popularity contest though, so Ichiro and Hunter are locks and Gutiérrez will probably be beaten out by Sizemore or Cameron.

Seriously, that award needs a more reasoned panel of judges. For example, as a Yankee fan I can say there is no way Jeter has been the best shortstop in he league 4 times.

Of course both Ichiro and Hunter are outstanding defenders, and both would be in contention regardless of who was handing out Gold Gloves. I just don't think they are being selected for the right reasons.

I'd like to think BJ Upton, or Carl Crawford could dethrone them. Both have the speed to make some good plays, and Crawford got the All Star MVP for his catch that robbed the HR.
