Is there anything interesting to do in Los Angeles in November or December 2011?

I live in the Los Angeles area, and I was hoping someone could tell me about something interesting to do between what is left of November and at any time in December. I was thinking maybe concerts, meet and greets with celebrities, sporting events, and preferably free, or else as inexpensive as possible. There's a girl I want to go out with, but it has to be something fun and impressive. Help!
