Is there some way to shoot the dog on duck hunt?

if you got a certain score or if you made it to a certain level with all your lives?

I think there's an arcade version where it is possible to shoot the dog, but is there any way in the NES version?

as a huge fan of the duck hunt as a child, i tried EVERY time to shoot the dog on NES. im pretty sure its not possible and there werent cheat codes back then
