Is there something that i can use to power electricity outdoors with no mains?

I am a photographer and will be wanting to use some of my own lighting (non professional equipment) in a location at night time, i wondered if there was a power supply or portable generator of electricity available on the market. Does anyone know the name of the product I need? Thanks in advance guys :)

You said it, a generator.

The lights you use will probably require high wattage but there's heaps of different generators.
They can all be portable but some are pretty heavy.

Check out a hardware store for prices (Keeping in mind the minimum watts you'll require)

You can hire portable generators from most hire shops - there are several makes on the market. They run on petrol or diesel - just don't use them indoors or somewhere that the fumes can't dissipate.
