Nothing like a dolphin, but there's a fish called an elephant nose that kind of resembles one, I guess.

They're wild caught, and should only be bought by those experienced though since they're very very sensitive, easily catch diseases, and are scaleless so you can't use most medications with them.

There are no miniature marine mammals. There are some African fishes in the Family Moryrimidae, i.e. Elephant fish or "Baby Whales" that may provide the shape of fish that you are seeking, but these fish are specialized feeders and not really a beginners type. If they are what you are looking for do some extra research before buying. This will require extra effort on your part because there are not many reliable sources of information on this group of fish. Good luck.

There's a fish called a freshwater dolphin that's sometimes for sale. It's a relative of the more common elephant nose and baby whales. The scientific name is Mormyrus tapirus or Mormyrus lapinus. They're 2 species, but look much the same.

This is what they look like. http://www.hippocampus-bildarchiv.com/images/FSWMY1016_Mormyrus_tapirus.jpg

This forum thread talks a little about them. http://www.aquariumfish.com/aquariumfish/board/Topic148419-5-1.aspx

no dolphins are mammals and mammals are never tiny even the smallest of hamsters are large since dolphins are aquatic mammals they need huge lungs to breathe so no YOU CAN'T HAVE A DOLPHIN AS A PET but sharks on the other hand can be kept as a pet in some states
