Me and my friend were watching a show and got into an argument about this cooking challenge. In the chef's competed for the best food prepping time.
I said the challenge was bad simply because it is not in the chef's job to do the prep work, sure I understand they should no how and I also understand that chef's in smaller restaurants may do their own prep work but then the challenge appeals to set of chefs over the rest and that's not fair.
My friend responded to me saying that it is because how are you going to be a master chef without knowing how to prep. He also said some other stuff which I honestly forgot and it doesn't matter.
I'm pretty much asking what you guy's think of the challenge and if it is good, bad, fair, or whatever else you think.
If you don't mind, stating your source would be really helpful too, anything either your opinion, experience, or if your a chef just so we can see where each answer is coming from.
