Tuesday i have to write an in class thematic essay, but i'm trying to prepare for it. We don't have a theme to go by, so we get to make up our own theme. So i decided to do it on the manipulation of friends. How does this sound as an intro paragraph? I'm really not good at intro paragraphs, so if u have any advice on how i can make it better, please do say so.
Friendship is something that most people value in life. But some friendships can lead to negative impacts or it can even lead to a “tragic” ending. When someone takes friendship for granted they can manipulate their own friends and cause some serious trouble. In William Shakespeare’s Julius Ceasar, the noble ruler of Rome, Julius Caesar, is thought to be too ambitious and too much of a dictator. He is eventually killed by a group of conspirators, his own friends, who were convinced by manipulating one another. The conspirators manipulated each other into thinking that the death of Julius Caesar would without a further or due make a positive effect on Rome and on their lives.
