Is this a good narrative introduction to a classification essay?

I am writing a paper for my English Comp I class in college, and my teacher has asked us to write a classification essay, and the introduction has to be a narrative. Would what I have attached suffice?

On October 5, 2011, I woke up as I had every other morning since August when I started school. I started my day off by simply waking up, brushing my teeth, and eating breakfast. As I completed my morning tasks, I soon after got in my car to make it to my English Comp I class. Upon arriving I got out and felt that something was not quite right; I was however not sure why. I throughout the day wondered what was wrong, and what felt out of place that morning, still puzzled I still had not figured out what was wrong. After school I went home around three-thirty and turned on my television as I had done every other day since school started, and there it was. Steve Jobs, the founder and current CEO of Apple Computers had died. I felt at that moment like what I had just heard was not real. I felt I had been indirectly impacted due to the fact that his company created every portable device I have, and with that in mind I quickly went to my computer to find out more about his life and how he as an individual man impacted the world with his great company. I found that his company revolutionized three of the products I have, the company created and revolutionized the computer, cell phones, and music.
