I've heard from coworkers that my boss is going to them about complaints others have on me, and not only that, but not once has he EVER come to me to get my side of the story. Ever. He has never once come to me to inform ME of any complaints whatsoever he's had on me. For example, today one of my coworkers informed me that our boss went to her about how I had several complaints from other workers about me not doing my job. I don't want to make this a rant, so let me just say that I work my a** off to do the best job possible. I'm full-time, and our boss gave us the option to have a 30 minute or an hour break, if we take the hour break, we can stay an extra 30 minutes beyond our regular clock-out time to get our full hours in. The only reason I clock out for an hour is so I can have an extra 30 minutes to get everything done, because believe me, I am one person doing one specific thing that is nearly impossible to have perfect (in my boss' eyes) and take a 30. So I literally work 8.5 hours with no break just to get everything done. These complaints he told my coworker were very easily explanatory. But he never once came to ME about it. He never gets my side of the story, and what's really annoying me is that he went to my coworker about how he was thinking of reducing my days because of these "complaints"... without ever talking to me about anything! When I found out about that I went straight to my boss, point blank asked him if he was about to fire me. I had to go to him first about all these complaints he was talking to everyone else about. Yet he's still doing the same thing. He will not come to me. He will not get my side, and I really don't think it's fair.
I was just wondering if this is a good enough reason to go to his boss about him. I always thought that if an employer has complaints, no matter what they are, on an employee that the employer is to go to that employee alone... period. Not talk behind their back with their coworkers, who don't even work the same shift as they do.
