im studying abroad in australia this upcoming semester, and apparently, u pay for internet per gigabyte?!

"Charges for 2009 will be at the rate of 0.9 cents a megabyte ($9 per gigabyte) plus GST."

does this sound expensive? how much/big is 1 gigabyte?
and what is GST?

id appreciate your answer.

That sounds really dam expensive to me. I would get the hell away from that. because 1 movie download off the internet is gunna be about 1 gig.

1 song is about 3mb. 1000mb in 1 gig.
