I think you don't quite understand what android is. Android is much like windows. It is simply an operating system that can be put on thousands of different devices. However, unlike windows every manufacture who builds a tablet changes android to accommodate their device.

With that said... android 2.2 is PHONE operating system. Google never meant for it to be smashed onto a tablet. Wait for like 2 months and you will get Honeycomb (android 3.0). This version of android is designed specifically for tablets and will work ten times better.

The A8 in particular (the one you linked to) is a terrible device that is designed as a cheap knockoff. DO NOT BUY IT!!! Trust me on this.

If you are looking for a budget tablet... the only one that I would recommend under 400 dollars is the Barnes and nobel Nook. It's $250 and is a polished device. Anything else in that price range will be a waste of money.
