I am 20 years old, with a small frame and have been running to get in shape for a few months now. The main purpose that I have started running was to shed the very little belly fat i have into more toned muscle. When i flex my stomach, it basically appears that I have a fully defined six pack. But once I am relaxed, the muscles aren't so visible. Since I have started running, these muscles have become more defined while flexing, and I am noticing a slight decrease in the small gut. But what I'd really like to know, is if the routine and nutritional diet I am in at the current moment is good enough to put me on track to achieving less body fat around the stomach area nutrition wise.
I run on average about 3-4 miles a day, 5 days a week. My daily diet consists of a peanut butter and jelly with whole wheat bread and an orange in the morning, a whole wheat bagel with an apple and strawberries for lunch, and finally a tuna fish sandwich with a banana and blueberries right before my run. Is this healthy enough to get me where I'd like to be?
