I asked this question earlier, but I didn't find answers I wanted. PLEASE do not get mad at me because this tank is temporary. I will be getting a 5 gallon fish tank in 2 weeks. Also please don't recommend a gravel vaccum because there is none small for a 1 gallon.
Anyway is this how you clean the fish tank?
- Turn off the filter.
- Scoop the betta fish in a cup where he'll be safe
- Move 50% of the old tank water into a bucket
- Pour out the tanks water and wash the tank and gravel with hot water
- Add 50% new water and condition it. Make temperature as close as the water the betta is in.
- Set the tank, add the filter and then add the 50% old water.
- Add the betta fish.
