My son, 10, is a wonderful kid - friendly, cheerful and pretty bright. My problem is, he is utterly obsessed with man-eating animals, mainly with children being eaten. He is keen after newspaper reports of children being devoured by crocodiles and sharks, playing with his friends games of "let's pretend i'm a terrifying, huge man-eating tiger" etc. The matter doesn't seem to frighten or depress him, but rather fascinate him. What should I do? Does he need professional help?
Btw he is also enthusiastic about children dying in general. He loves reading books, articles and watching TV shows where young children are being killed.
