My husband and I would like to go to at least one Blue Jays home game next year. What is stopping us is the prospect of driving in Toronto. Is there a shuttle or anything of that kind from a Toronto suburb or from another city to the Rogers?

the Rogers center is walking distance from Union Station, and every suburb's transit line has a bus that goes to a TTC subway station.

In Brampton, the #1 Queen St. bus goes to Finch Subway Station

In Vaughan, the #77 Highway 7 bus goes to Finch Subway Station (runs the same route as the Brampton bus)

In Mississauga, the Eglinton/Renforth bus from Square One goes to Eglinton West Subway Station

God grief don't drive down there! After a game it will take forever to get out of Toronto, let alone home.

The link below shows how to get to the Rogers Centre by subway/Go transit. It's easy to get there and no need to stress yourselves out by driving.
