my family already has verizon internet and phone,
so i just really want to know about the quality of the tv service.

we've gotten information in the mail, and the channels they offer seem pretty good.
but my parents and i like Telemundo (a spanish channel), and it's not offered.
can we possible trade a channel that we don't want for that one ?

and if someone can tell me about the overall quality, like on demand, or anything of the sort that comes along with it ?
is it worth it ? because it'd be a deal if the quality can match up to the great price.
my parents are undecided whether we should go ahead with Fios, or just keep our Verizon services the same and get Direct TV.
any suggestions/tips ?

i live in the maryland/D.C area, by the way. thanks so much in advance.

I've dealt with ALL major cable/ Satellite providers and I can tell you that Fios isn't bad, in fact I currently have it.
The pros include:
- Great picture quality
- Nice HD
- Very well organized channel line-up (like you don't have the food network right after Court tv or something, everything is organized into categories).
- Lots of On Demand choices, a lot of which are free.

The Cons include:
- occasional loss of signal (this happened a lot when the service first came out, but hasn't happened to me in months!)
-There's a huge gap in between basic channels and cable channels (they have greatly improved this since it originally came out however. Now there are only about 20 "local channels" with nothing on them half the time).
- They have many "package choices" that include the Spanish language channels that you may be interested in. BUT they usually make you get a lot of extra stuff you may not care about.
- There are so many channels (which is also a plus), so that sometimes it takes forever just to find the one you're looking for. A glance at their handy channel card helps this.

Overall, Fios is decent and once you get used to the adjustment from regular or digital cable, you'll have no problem at all.
Good Luck!
