is with brita filtered water is ok for cold fish aquarium?

hi there.i have cold fish tank.the walls of it quicklyycoveredd by white residue after changing water.can i use filtered water instead of putting tap water with addedaqua-safee?thanks for your help.

Brita filtered water may be safe for us, but I am not sure if it is safe for fish. It may still contain chlorine and heavy metals. I am on a well and my water tests perfectly straight from the tap, but I believe that no matter what water you use, you should still add water conditioner.
