Is Ying and Yang bad?

I had this random memory, but it was along time ago and I had gotten this bracelet with the Ying and Yang sign. My dad had told me that it was bad, and to take it off. I'm not sure if it was a religious type thing or what, because my dad is a strong Christian man. I have heard that Ying and Yang were something sexual so I am guessing that was another reason he wanted me to take it off. So...what was the big deal? By the way, I am not sure which category this is supposed to be in...hah.
