I mean, now (and i'm talking about these past few decades) that advertisements have been SO big, the meaning of Christmas has been completely changed. Christmas is now a time, for companies to get the most money out of their consumers. Its now a time, for parents to start having anxiety about pleasing their kids for Christmas and making sure there are tons of gifts under the Christmas tree.
Is Christmas really all about gifts? What about the idea of giving? Giving rather than always recieving? In my opinon, the best thing about Christmas Eve for me, is when my mom and I go to the homeless shelter and give all the families with no homes some beautiful scarves and winter hates/other gifts for Christmas. Also when my family sit together infront of the fireplace and drink hot cocoa. I wish it wasn't always about RECIEVING, Christmas should be about the act of giving and spending time with those you love most.
