It seems that believers are more than happy to accept science, and believe it, when it helps them live their daily lives. They are happy to use technology when it suits them. Technology is all based upon science. Even the wheel.
It was scientists that developed the microprocessors that are allowing you to read and express your views and questions on here. End the science that harnessed and generated the power that it's using.
Medicine, electricity, engineering and buildings, etc. etc.
So why is science's answer to the origin of Earth, and all that is upon it, excluded from your belief and reliance upon it?
Examples are all around us.
When you get on a plane, in a car, on a train, you are putting your faith in science. And, of course the people who have applied the science and maintained it. Sure sometimes these sciences fail. But when a theist is asked why god does something bad, answers like "we are made imperfect" , or the like, excuses really, are often the answer.
In the cities of the developed world, it's often hard to find anything naturally occurring for all the science that is around us.
