Israel Blockades Lebanon

don't worry, you didn't disappoint.
can you provide me a study or at least anything that backs that up? i'd love to read it.

Meet as in physically meet

Er, the Human Genome Project for a start

Oh and this is interesting too

Meet? What?

Also, one good link you forgot to mention is www.google.com.

And the other link is not even a study. It has no real data, it's ABOUT a study that was apparently biased. Got any actual useful links? How about this, what did YOU use to reach that conclusion?

Now that last one was much more useful, how about a link to that report?

And what is the explanation for Tay-Sachs disease?

And there was me thinking it was common knowledge that Palestinians & Israelis were from the same genepool

Oh, well if I must....

Tay-Sachs desease is not specific to Ashkenazi Jews it is also prevelent in other ethnic groups at similar levels.

Or they could be absolutely genuine. Prove they are fakes or shut your hole.

So, if we accept that genetically both Israelis and Palestinians originate from the same genepool we have indeed caused a problem for traditional Jewish belief.

Firstly it undermines the 'God's chosen people' stuff and secondly the majority of Palestinians would have a legitimate claim to be Jews (if they wished).

Kinda completely stuffs the ol' Zionist arguements doesn't it

You can think of me in whatever way allows you to keep from having your cozy little world-view shattered by the facts. Being called an inbred redneck by some of the people here is a compliment as far as I'm concerned.

No, it actually strenghtens the text of Torah. Abraham had 2 sons, Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael went on to father the Arab nation, Isaac to Jewish nation.

Really?

Nonsense, it may conveniantly fit into your beliefs if you make it, but historically there is a different explanation.

Most Palestinians were Jews that converted to Islam in the 7th century. And this was way after the OT was written was it not?

Not a different 'tribe' but exactly the same people with a different religion.

Not one chosen by God.

The same people.

interesting reading on the conflict.

Is Hizbullah winning by losing?

One reason for Israel's reluctance to accept a cease-fire is that a growing number of terrorism and security experts, and even members of Hizbullah's political wing, believe that Hizbullah will be seen as the "winner" of the battle with Israel if it merely survives. Newsweek reports that as the fighting has continued and Israel has not been able to achieve significant military goals, the Bush administration has come to the realization that "Hizbullah could win simply by losing."

God's chosen people is a religious belief, not a scientifically provable fact. The two need to be kept separate.

Germans and Austrians have similar genes too, yet they seem to live fine in separate countries at this point. Were the Palestinians willing to do the same for Israel the issue would be resolved.

The problem is orthodox Jewish thought combines the two with the lineage stuff.

The second point. Yes, if both the Israelis & Palestinians could accept that they are pretty much the same people with different religions perhaps it would be easier to resolve the conflict.

The truth is most Palestinians were Jews who converted originally to Christianity & then Islam.

1) That's their arguement, not mine. I don't buy any religious thought be it jewish, islam, or christianity.

2) Do you have evidence of that truth?

Shows a complete lack of understanding of Jewish, Orthodox or other, thought. Jewish thought is that God asked several people to live by His Torah. The Jews accepted. In that sense we were chosen.

Israel has been ready to accept 2 states since 1947. How about the Aranbs?

Source?????

1) Nor mine, but nevertheless it is used as an arguement by Zionists. Regarding religion, at least we have something in common then

2) yes loads

But this is my point. The Palestinians were Jews I suppose you could say they were the Jews that stayed put & converted!

I know that. I suppose it comes down to the legitimacy of apartheid. i.e. one million Palestinians were 'evicted' from their homeland or what became Israel in two years following 1948.

Read some history books & you'll find that I am correct

that apartheid is strictly self imposed due to their inability to live with the israelis. again, the israelis are reactive, not proactive. no bombing, no wall.

Then I guess we were there first after all

First, it's closer to 750,000.
Second, the partition plan looked that screw ball because the area was split according to the majority in those areas.
Third, as many Jews were 'evicted' from Arab nations in the same time.

Apartheid is a system in which citizens of a country have more or less rights according to arbritary criteria (race, religon, gender, etc). Israeli Jews, Arabs and Xtians all have the same rights. All are represented in the Knesset. Gaza and the West Bank residents are not Israeli citizens.

No wall

What's this then?
