As tragic as any civilian deaths are, 500 casualties out of a population of 4 million does not constitute "destroying a sovereign country and its peoples"
Well it depends what you clasify as action in the first place, the Jewish economic domination can and I think was seen by the Nazis as a threat, hence they can also be classifed as reactive.
Also, the Jewish occupation can be seen as a proactive step in this conflict.
I think its best to steer clear of these sorts of definitions/designations as they can be made to work logically from most angles.
Have you had a look at Lebanon recently.. their cities are in ruin.. that means refugees, that means no infrastructure, and all this equals to people dying from starvation, dysentery, etc, etc.. to me this constitutes as "destroying a sovereign country and its peoples".
In the context of trying to draw a parallel with the Nazis, it doesn't. This reaction to rockets being fired into Israel and the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers is nowhere near equivalent to the Nazis reaction to a perceived economic/genetic threat from the Jews in inter-war Germany.
Anything besides declarative statements that can be argued about for fun is pointless and is a waste of time. For three reasons. 1) We don't have all the information and 2) We don't get a say in anything that happens and 3) The situations is a lot more complex than any one person here thinks.
500 deaths.. half a MILLION people displaced with limited access to food, shelter and water. their homes, roads, highways and schools of the 500 000 people essentially leveled. isreal is still withholding supply lines that the displaced half a million refugees need desperately.
Personal attacks are so much more satisfying than trying to tear apart your 3rd grade logic and hilarious rhetoric. Plus I'm much too busy stealing land from poor helpless Palestinians to spend time disecting your arguements.
it is valid to flatten a country for two soldiers fair enough.
i am sorry on edit.. i don't want to be too rhetorical with my language it is valid to flatten A LARGE PORTION of a country.
and btw i am not pro palistine.. just because i am critical of isreal does not mean i am pro palistine. i know that is the knee jerk attack against anyone who is critical of isreal in any fashion.
i completly agree i do not think isreal is wrong to react i just think that the level of reaction is wildly out of proportion to what this whole situation started from.
