Itouch 5th gen screen repair?

Dropped my ipod touch 5th generation and the glass screen cracked. But the touch still works. Instead of changing out the whole thing is it possible to just repair the glass?
 
its possible but it isn't cheap... trust me I searched everywhere and I think I'm better off just buying a new one.
almost no one repairs "just the glass" since the screen and the glass are glued together so it would be almost impossible to remove it.
