Security Guard Destroying My Cell Phone.? So a couple weeks ago i got into a very loud argument outside thee sears parking lot in-front of the mall which involved a friend of mine and two other people who i was arguing with! I myself was the only person there of obvious ethnic background. I am mixed with Black & Latino so i shows! Well this argument carried on for about 20 minutes until security was called! Now me being me i was not interested in sticking around while two mall cops walk towards me & a car with two other mall guards are coming around the corner! So i quickly got off their property so i wouldn't have any issues involving them!
They did their normal thing, yelling at me to not come back! But they didn't say for how long! I didn't come back for a week and a half because i was not aware that it was a banning i thought i was not allowed for rest of that day!
So today i was in there, which was the third time this week so i was pretty sure i wasn't banned or whatever! I was walking toward the food court and saw someone i knew so i talked to them for a little bit! and went on my way! As i was exiting the mall two guards ran up and said my name i looked back and was handcuffed and told i was being arrested for tress passing??
I was brought into the Security office and they took my picture and asking me questions. my phone was ringing off thee hook because i was on my way to meet a friend! So i pulled it out with thee hand cuff's on and put it on speaker and told him i wasn't able to talk! when security saw this three of them lunged forward and took my phone! My phone is a T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 that i have had maybe 6 months? So it was in very good condition! An off duty guard who was in the office being disrespectful to me and saying unnecessary comments took my phone and asked how to turn it off. Me being in hand cuff's i wasn't able to show him but i tried my best to verbally explain where the power button was located! Instead of allowing me to show him or explain in more detail he smashed my phone against a metal desk!
I am in thee foster care system so i have weekly check in's with my social worker! And i am the one responsible for scheduling these appointments! If i didn't have a phone i could get into some trouble!
I am wondering what actions i can take to have the mall replace my phone with the same or better model!
Or getting the police involved if they didn't replace the phone!
