Ive copied my dvd with dvdshrink, how do i watch it on my computer?

I copied my dvd with this software onto my external hard drive, in tutorials i can find they just click a file with a film icon by it and there are only a couple there. I have a lot of files in the copied dvd folder and all have the cone icon from vlc player. How do i watch my dvd on my laptop?
