I've scratched my car :(?

Oh no! My car is about 8 months old and I've had it for nearly 2 month and I've been so
careful until last night! I was driving through a garage door shutter and some idiot driver made me turn into the drive too soon and I ended up scraping the right side of my car against the metal pole! It's scraped above the tyre and it's knocked some paint work off, I am absolutely gutted! It's a vauxhall agila!

What do I do? :(
 
I did the exact same thing with my car... devastating, I know. When I went to a auto body mechanic the prices ranged from 750 to 1300 to repair paint, a small dent and the scratches.

Save up your money, cause this one hits the wallet hard. Put Vaseline on it to slow down rusting rain, or snow will cause. It acts as an antioxidant and the scratch will turn brown. I had this stuff on my car for a month, and there is no rust.
