i am going to jailbreak my ipod touch. i need someone to answer the following questions...

how do i downgrade my ipod from 4.1 to whatever iOS software that is able to be jail broken?
what is the best website to use on this? ive heard jailbreakme.com is good, and also ra1n...
how long does jailbreaking take?
should i restore my ipod before i jailbreak it?
will jailbreaking my ipod make it slower?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of jailbreaking?

Use Limera1n. Download it from the url (below), execute the .exe file, and follow the instructions.

Jailbreaking with limera1n take less than five minutes.
You should not restore first.
It will not slow your device.
Jailbreaking installs Cydia which allows you to install anything you want on your device.
The only disadvantage is that it voids your warranty (which it not very good, either.)
