I watched it in the 90s, it was japanese/korean.
It was about kid who hated carrots and he summoned a robot with gyroscope which he throw on the ground and it makes some symbol and than his robot comes from the ground.
Later came some strong fat kid who joined him and he summoned his robot with something else (don't remember) but I think the robot came out from the water?
And much later came 3rd kid who summoned his robot from some portal in the air. (I think it was with some bow and arrow)
