I have an 89 jeep cherokee wich I installed a 4.6 stroker engine about a yr ago. about 5 months ago it broke down and I replaced the wiring harness. It started for me but ran like crap and had no power at all barely. So I thought maybe before I foundout it was the wiring harness being fried from hot coolant then maybe I took apart the distributer and tried to index it and didnt put it back exactly were it was. Currently its aftermarket comp cam 300 lift 300 duration only allows the engine to index if I cut the ears on the hold down clamp and turn it slightly. As of right now the plugs all get spark and gets plenty of fuel.... I tried replacing the old fuel. And Iv indexed it a billion times and put it in every gear slot with engine at 1st piston top dead center with the pulley lined up with 0 on the notch. I dont kno if the cam went bad on me or what happened... I wish I could just use a timing light
