The Linning streak had to end one day. Friday night ended up being that day. Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks lost at home against the New Orleans Hornets by a final score of 89-85. The Knicks had won seven straight games.
Lin produced once again, finishing with 26 points, five assists and four steals in 40 minutes of action. However, he also was partly responsible for the loss because he turned the ball over nine times.
The Hornets, who entered the game with only six total wins on the season, were led by Trevor Ariza’s 20 points. Rookie Gustavo Ayon totaled 13 points and 11 rebounds for New Orleans.
The Knicks will try to get back on the Linning track on Sunday against the defending champion Dallas Mavericks.
